HIGHLIGHTS:
- The all-new Citroen C3 has finally arrived in India.
- Introductory price of the same starts at Rs.5.71 Lakhs.
- Available with a 1.2-litre engine with different outputs.
Citroen C3
Similar to its elder sibling, the hatchback’s front end has split headlamps. On the other hand, the side profile can be customised with alloy wheels and body cladding to provide an SUV-like attitude. Citroen added that a gigantic 180mm ground clearance is available for the brand-new C3. If we take into account the various terrains in India, then this is indeed a practical ride without a doubt.
Although the C3 seems rather useful inside, the company has chosen to take a basic approach. Examples include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital driver’s display, a multifunction steering wheel, numerous charging outlets, and four speakers. The Citroen C3 comes standard with dual front airbags, a speed sensor door lock, high-speed alert, and ABS to name a few.
It will be powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that comes in two distinct tunings. The first one can produce 81 horsepower and 115 Nm because it is a naturally aspirated engine. Even a turbocharged option is available, with 109 horsepower and 190 Nm of total output. A five-speed manual gearbox is used in one of them, while a six-speed manual gearbox is used in the other.
Depending on the power unit, these engines’ mileage has been estimated at 19.8 and 19.4 kmpl.
