For starters, the design of the all-new Citroen C5 X is baffling. To be precise, from a certain angle it looks like a sedan while from another a station wagon. Form an opinion and this all-new car will appear like an SUV as well. For that, all credit goes to the improved ground clearance.

Again, in terms of design, it is kind of confusing. But, just to elaborate, it comes with a nicely crafted bonnet hood, sloping roofline, aggressive-looking bumper, single large air intake and a longer rear overhang. The side profile of the all-new C5 X is 4805mm long. It gets massive wheel arches, body cladding and a set of 19-inch alloy wheels just to make sure that it appears like an SUV. At the back, it looks like a conventional Citroen SUV with multiple curves.

The longer wheelbase of 2785mm leads to a spacious cabin that can easily accommodate 5 occupants. In terms of features, it is available with a head-up display, fully digital instrument cluster, sunroof, multiple USB sockets, wireless smartphone charging pad and a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system among others. This way, this SUV comes with segment-leading features.

The list does not end here. Citroen has confirmed that the C5 X will be available with Advanced Comfort Package. To be precise, the carmaker will also be offering additional padding for the seats and a 3-way Advanced Active Suspension setup. Further, there will be several safety features on offer. The list includes Lane Keep Assist, 360-degree parking camera, Blind Spot Detection and Rear Cross Traffic alert as well.

The upcoming SUV will be available with multiple powertrains. However, it is the 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine with an electric motor that produces a combined output of 225HP that will be the best option according to the carmaker. Further details regarding the powertrain are expected to be out soon.
