Customers Can Now Book Citroen C5 Aircross; Launch Expected Soon

Citroen introduced the all-new Citroen C5 Aircross in India on the first week of February. Also, with the unveiling event, the French carmaker marked its debut in the Indian market. There is still some time left for the company to launch the C5 Aircross. However, this time, Citroen India has announced that the carmaker has started accepting bookings for the all-new SUV against a token amount of Rs.50,000. The C5 Aircross will be assembled locally at the company’s own facility in Tamil Nadu that will be resulting in around 90% of localisation of the upcoming SUV.

Features

In terms of features, the top-end Shine variant comes equipped with LED headlamps with DRLs, 18-inch ‘SWIRL’ diamond-cut alloy wheels and LED taillamps with a lot of road presence on offer. Also, there are seven different color schemes on offer to enhance the overall look of the SUV including:

1. Cumulus Grey
2. Tijuca Blue
3. Pearl White
4. Pearla Nera
5. Cumulus Grey with Pearla Nera Black (dual-tone)
6. Tijuca Blue with Pearla Nera Black
7. Pearl White with Pearla Nera

Inside the cabin, the all-new SUV features an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display, 6-speaker surround sound system, electrically adjustable driver seat, two-zone climate control and panoramic sunroof among others.

Engine

Under the hood, Citroen C5 Aircross will get a 2.0-litre diesel engine that is capable of producing a massive 174BHP of power @ 3750 RPM and 400Nm of torque @ 2000 RPM. Further, it comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with no petrol engine on offer.

Other Details

Citroen is all set to introduce multiple La Maison dealerships in India. Currently, it is available in 10 cities all across the country. However, the French carmaker is ready to expand its reach via mobile showrooms that will be based on the truck trailer concept. Further, bookings before 6th April will allow the customers to avail benefits. These benefits include an additional maintenance package for 5 years/50,000 km.

In India, Citroen C5 Aircross will directly compete against the likes of Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass among others.
