Introduction of Dark Edition for Tata Motors started with the Harrier back in 2019. The company has already tasted success with that on the Harrier and now, they have decided to do the same for Nexon, Nexon EV and Altroz.

Black goes with everything. We have really heard it a lot of times. Let’s find out what all shades these three Dark Editions have got to offer.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Tata Motors has finally introduced Dark Edition for three offerings.
  • List includes Tata Nexon, Altroz and Nexon EV with Harrier as well.

To begin with, only XZ+, XZ+(O) and XZA+ variants will get the Dark Edition treatment. All of them are either available with 1.2-litre turbo petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The first two variants are there with a 6-speed manual gearbox while the petrol XZA+ variant will be available with an automatic transmission.

To be precise, Tata Motors has used an Atlas Black exterior shade on the Nexon with blacked-out alloy wheels. Even the cabin of this compact SUV will now get a black colour theme as standard. As per the calculations, Dark Edition on Nexon will cost its customers a premium of Rs.44,000 when compared to their regular counterparts.

Altroz Dark Edition

Just like the Nexon, even Altroz will get the Dark Edition on the top-end XZ+ variant. For starters, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol or similarly displaced turbo petrol engine will be available onboard. Unlike the Nexon, it will feature a Cosmo Black exterior shade with blacked-out 16-inch alloy wheels as standard. Just to tell you that this is a special edition, Tata Motors has introduced several #Dark badging all across.

The all-new Tata Altroz Dark Edition range starts at Rs.8.71 Lakh onwards. When compared to the regular XZ+ variant, this one is expected to cost Rs.30,000 more.

The carmaker has introduced a Midnight Black exterior shade with a similarly treated interior for its electric SUV. The cabin of the Nexon EV will continue to feature the blue accents just to differentiate it from the regular one.

Currently, it gets a 30.2kWh battery pack with an overall range of 312kms. The power output from the electric motor stands at 129HP on the other hand. The Dark Edition for Nexon EV is priced at Rs.15.99 Lakh onwards.
