In India, demand for sports bikes and cars is growing at an impressive rate. The youth now clearly knows what they want and how to get it and that’s the sole reason why bike manufacturers such as Ducati has finally decided to introduce their best, performance-oriented Panigale V4 SP here. Priced at Rs.36.07 Lakhs (ex-showroom, pan India), it doesn’t sound pocket friendly at all. However, to know it better, then a test ride will ultimately justify the price tag to you.

Design, Features & Safety Aids

In terms of design, it remains similar to the standard Panigale V4 except for some minor upgrades in the form of new carbon fibre panels. For starters, the front mudguard, side wings and heel guards have been treated with carbon fibre to save some weight. Ducati has introduced the “Winter Test” livery on this bike to retain the overall exclusivity.

The headlights on the new Panigale V4 SP are obviously LED units. Further, other features including a 5-inch TFT rider’s display, cornering ABS, launch control, engine brake control, slide control etc. are also a part of the standard offering. Several optional accessories such as a carbon clutch cover and license plate holder holes also improve the overall practicality.

Hardware

To stop this powerful sports bike, Ducati is offering twin 330mm disc brakes (front) and a single 245mm disc at the back. For your information, the front brake is a Brembo unit with a remote adjustment feature onboard.

Also, sitting on the electronically adjustable inverted Ohlins fork and TTX36 unit sourced by the same brand, it does feel like a proper racing machine.

Engine

Powering this new track-focused bike is a potent 1103cc four-cylinder engine. According to the spec sheet, it is capable of churning out a massive 214HP @ 13,000RPM and 124Nm of peak torque @ 9,500RPM while being paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Ducati to make it even capable has decided to offer a dry clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.

To alter the overall performance, Panigale V4 SP will be featuring multiple ride modes that are modified to track every single detail related to its performance by using a data analyser kit.

Right now, the brand has priced it between Rs.42 Lakhs to Rs.45 Lakhs (ex-showroom, pan India) which is a lot more when compared to the new Panigale V4 SP.
