The Skoda Octavia facelift was expected to launch at the beginning of 2021. But now, the Director of Sales, Service, and Marketing, Skoda India, Zac Hollis cleared the launch scenario while replying to the message on Twitter.

The 2021 Skoda Octavia will be offered with the new LED headlights with DRLs, LED fog lamps and taillights, and 17-inch ‘Rotare AERO’ alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the new Skoda Octavia will be 19mm longer and 15mm wide as well.

Skoda Octavia interior will now be equipped with a 10.25-inch virtual cockpit digital instrument cluster, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 3 zone climate control, heads up display, connected car feature with eSIM, wireless charging pad and many more other features which are yet not officially revealed by Skoda India.

The safety features on offer with the 2021 Skoda Octavia are the 9 airbags, collision avoidance assist, cruise control with predictive pedestrian and cyclist protection, and turn assist. The 2021 Skoda Octavia is a 5-star vehicle in the Euro NCAP crash test.

Similarly to the older Skoda Octavia, the 2021 Skoda Octavia will be powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine with a 7-speed DSG transmission. This particular engine produces 190BHP of power. However, the lower variants are expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre TSI engine mated with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Before 2020, Skoda India is planning to launch the Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI and Skoda Kodiaq which will now be offered with a petrol engine only. However, 2021 Skoda Octavia is now expected to launch in mid-2021.
