Look-wise, the new sports car look very compact because of its shortened wheelbase. A transparent cover for the engine is also there to remind the owner that they are driving something special by looking at the heart (engine). Other changes when compared to F8 Tributo, its predecessor, are the new design for the alloy wheels, a single exhaust pipe, sporty headlamps and an aerodynamic friendly airflow mechanism.

Inside the cabin, there’s a two-seater layout that doesn’t help much in terms of practicality. But since it is a supercar the entire feel is plush and premium. There’s obviously a minimalistic approach that has been used with a fully digital instrument console, more stylish steering wheel, head-up display and co-passenger screen with touch controls on offer.

The internal combustion engine available is a 3.0-litre V6 unit with 654 horses. Since Ferrari does it differently, 296 GTB gets turbochargers placed in between the two components of the main engine.

There’s even an electric setup with a floor-mounted battery of 7.45kWh and an electric motor. It not only boosts the overall output of this sports car but even provides an EV mode in which it can run for 25kms.

The overall output from the entire setup stands at 818 horsepower and 740Nm with power channelled to the rear wheels only. The powertrain is said to work in conjunction with an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox which makes it one of the best in the segment.

Talking about the performance, Ferrari 296 GTB is capable of clocking a triple-digit speed in just 2.9 seconds. The top speed, on the other hand, is rated at over 330kmph.
