Ford has recently teased the upcoming Ford Endeavour Sport on its official website and social media handles. However, the company has also announced its launch date. Ford will launch the Endeavour Sport on 22 September.
The all-new SUV gets some minor cosmetic changes at the exterior. The Ford Endeavor Sport offers a new blacked out grille, black roof rails, DLO surround, side step and a ‘Sport’ badging on the tailgate. Meanwhile, Ford is also offering a black 18-inch alloy wheels on the Endeavour Sport.
Coming to the interior that remains the same as earlier. Ford will still offer the exact same beige and black color theme inside the Endeavour Sport. However, two colors are introduced with the Ford Endevour Sport – Diamond White and Diffused Silver along with the Black color.
Meanwhile, Ford has removed almost all the chrome elements which were there present on the standard model. The only exception remains to be the door handles which are still finished in chrome.
The engine that powers the standard Ford Endeavour will power the Sport variant too. And thus, the 2.0-litre, EcoBlue turbocharged diesel engine is all set to power the Ford Endeavour Sport. It produces 170BHP of output along with a peak torque of 420Nm. Meanwhile, the transmission duties is handled by a conventional 10-speed automatic gearbox.
Ford Endeavour Sport will rival the Toyota Fortuner TRD directly. However, the Isuzu MU-X and Mahindra Alturas G4 are still waiting to get the BS6 updates. When launched the Ford Endeavour Sport will also compete with the upcoming MG Gloster in India.
