Genesis reveals updated G70 globally; launching in October 2020

Genesis has uncovered its updated G70 globally. However, the luxury carmaker is all set to launch the Genesis G70 in Korea by October 2020. Genesis G70 was first launched in 2017 as a performance driving car with athletic design. The updated G70 gets some cosmetic updates along with more enhanced features for luxury along with performance.

The luxury car now gets a driver oriented interior and the state-of-art-technology by Genesis. Meanwhile, when coming to the exterior the signature grille on the G70 is now placed even below the headlamps to retain its athletic look. The car now gets a Quad LED headlamps along with the all-LED taillamps. The massive alloy wheels now looks sportier than ever before.

However, the interior of the updated Genesis G70 now gets a new 10.25 inch infotainment system that gets OTA updates. The updated infotainment system will also get a valet mode with the Apple CarPlay. Meanwhile, wireless charging pad on the updated G70 is now horizontal as the earlier one could not fit Audi bigger smartphones.

The 2021 Genesis G70 comes with the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four cylinder engine that produces 252BHP of power. While the other 3.3-litre twin turbo V6 engine produces a massive 370BHP of power. Likewise, in some countries Genesis also offers a 2.2-litre diesel engine for the G70 that produces 202BHP of power. The transmission that comes with the Genesis G70 is an 8-speed Automatic transmission. However, the rear wheel drive and all wheel drive comes as optional.

Genesis G70 in the global market rivals the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class and Jaguar XE.

Hyundai for the market in India is also planning to come up with a Genesis SUV keeping in mind the popularity for the SUV segment in India.
