Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 made its global debut on 22 February 2021. The American bike manufacturer conventionally focuses on cruisers and street bikes. However, this is the first time when they have introduced a hardcore adventure tourer. Delivering something unique is not only a luxury for them instead it has also become a necessity. At least, that is what the current market condition says.

In India, Harley Davidson might have discontinued their production work. But, the brand will continue to offer its bike as a CBU unit. With the help of Hero MotoCorp, the company has finally decided to launch the all-new Pan America 1250 in India. Interestingly, the launch has been scheduled for June 2021.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Harley Davidson Pan America 1250 will be launched in India by June 2021.
  • It comes powered by a 1252cc Revolution Max liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine.

Talking in numbers, it is truly capable of producing a massive 150HP @ 9000 RPM and 127Nm of peak torque @ 6,750 RPM while being mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

On this bike, performance can be altered using multiple ride modes. To be precise, they are – Road, Sport, Rain, Off-Road and Off-Road Plus. The Pan America 1250 Special comes with two additional modes that can be altered by the riders according to their preferences. In terms of features, the bike comes loaded up to the brim. The list includes an LED headlamp, cornering ABS, 6.8-inch touchscreen TFT console, traction control, hill hold control, etc. as standard. Additional features such as adaptive headlamps, heated grips, centre stand, tyre pressure monitoring system, etc. to name a few are available on the Special variant.

There is a 47mm Showa BFF fork that handles the suspension duties at the front. Meanwhile, at the rear, it is available with a piggy monoshock unit. The Special variant on the other hand will be getting a semi-active electronic suspension setup on both ends. Cast aluminium wheels of 19-inch up front and 17-inch at the rear are available on the Base variant as standard. However, customers who will opt for the Special variant will be getting similar sized alloy wheels.

In India, the upcoming Pan America 1250 will go head-on against the likes of Triumph Tiger 1200 and BMW R 1250 GS. However, for now, just take a look at its closest rival – the BMW R 1250 GS.
