Here’s Everything You Need To Know About The BMW X4 Silver Shadow Edition

After the grand success of the BMW X4 Black Shadow Edition, BMW wants to recreate something similar one more time. The brand has been assembling X4 locally and keeping in mind the high demand for special edition models here, it is finally back with a ‘Silver Shadow Edition’ for the X4 that looks undoubtedly premium with a price tag starting at Rs.71.90 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

BMW X4 Silver Shadow Edition

The grand success of the Black Shadow Edition in India convinced BMW to retry a similar version. The result is in front of us and thankfully, it is quite interesting.

Let’s begin with the changes at the front. The signature kidney grille is now outlined with a slightly different frame and grille nuggests while being finished in gloss chrome finish. Interestingly, BMW has also confirmed that this special edition SAC will be available in three different colour schemes including Alpine White, Phytonic Blue and Carbon Black. All these changes together does make a big difference but before we finish, let’s head towards the interior.

The cabin of the all-new BMW X4 Silver Shadow Edition is now available with a limited-run leather upholstery in ‘Mocha’. Keeping in mind, the ‘attention to detail factor’, the upholstery now comes paired to decor stitching.

Since it is based on the standard X4, this special edition is equipped with the features that we have already witnessed earlier. A massive panoramic sunroof, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainemnt system, Harman Kardon surround sound system, fully digital driver’s display, electrically adjustable seats, etc are some of the features that are being offered as standard.

For occupants safety, BMW is marching forward with six airbags, ABS, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

Two engine options will be there on the all-new X4 Silver Shadow Edition. Starting with the xDrive30i variant, it will be equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine known for producing a decent 252 horsepower and 350Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, it is the xDrive30d model that will be using a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine with an output rated at 265 horsepower and 620Nm.

Both the power units are being offered with an 8-speed automatic gearbox but the 0-100kmph sprint is timed differently varying according to the engine. The petrol unit can push this all-new SAC to clock a 0-100kmph in 6.6 seconds while the diesel variant can do a similar sprint in just 5.8 seconds. As both of them are xDrive variants, power is channelled to all four wheels as standard.
