Priced at Rs. 2.35 Crore (ex-showroom, pan India), the SL 55 has made its debut in the Indian market as a completely built unit (CBU).

Mercedes-AMG SL roadster is truly massive when it comes to its dimensions, as confirmed by Mercedes itself. Measuring a length of 4705mm, a width of 1915mm, and a height of 1359mm, this roadster commands attention. The engineers at Stuttgart have also extended the wheelbase by 117mm, resulting in an overall length of 2700mm. This expansion allows for the inclusion of rear seats, adding practicality to the mix.
In terms of design, the Mercedes-AMG SL is a true beauty. Standout features on the exterior include the striking Panamericana grille, complemented by sleek LED headlamps. The roadster also boasts a large windscreen and stylishly crafted 20-inch alloy wheels. For those seeking even more distinction, the 21-inch alloy wheels are available upon special request.
Since it is a roadster, the Mercedes-AMG SL comes with a triple-layer fabric roof, offering a weight reduction of 21 kilograms compared to a traditional metal roof. The roof comes in three different colours—Black, Grey, and Dark Red—providing customization options to suit individual preferences.
Interior & Features
The Mercedes-AMG SL showcases a typical Mercedes cabin, reminiscent of the new S-Class, which exudes elegance and sophistication. The dashboard is thoughtfully designed, offering a clean and uncluttered aesthetic. It houses a striking 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and is accompanied by a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, creating a futuristic atmosphere within the vehicle.
Mercedes understands the importance of personalization, and that extends to the interior of the SL as well. The luxury automaker provides customers with the choice to select their preferred colour shade for both the exterior and interior. The cabin is adorned with Nappa leather, and there are a total of five upholstery options to choose from. Additionally, buyers of the new SL 55 can opt for the AMG Sports or AMG Performance seats as optional accessories, further enhancing comfort and style.
There are several premium features that caught our attention in the new SL 55. Noteworthy among them are the Burmester Surround Sound System, which delivers an exceptional audio experience, and the Airscarf function. Another standout feature is the AMG Track Pace program, which allows drivers to analyze and improve their performance on the track.

Engine & Performance
The all-new AMG SL 55 is equipped with the highly reliable 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, adding a performance-oriented edge to this sports car. With an impressive output of 476 horsepower and 700Nm of torque, this powerhouse comes paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive system as standard.
The result of this well-engineered setup is an exhilarating acceleration, enabling the SL 55 to sprint from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.9 seconds. Furthermore, the car boasts an impressive top speed of 295kmph, showcasing its true potential.
