Different graphics and funky colour schemes have replaced the evergreen shade of black when we talk particularly about the two-wheelers. However, Hero MotoCorp has lately decided to offer the all-new Hero Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition with a matte black colour at Rs.1.16 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Of course, this special edition is not limited to cosmetic enhancements. In fact, it will also sport some crucial feature updates.

Updates

Special edition deserves a special treatment, therefore, Hero MotoCorp has decided to introduce an exclusive Matte Black colour shade for the new Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition. The fuel tank of this new bike also comes with a ‘Stealth’ badging to tell everyone that it is something special.

Feature-wise, it will be sporting a slightly upgraded instrument cluster with a 5-Level adjustment for brightness. Other features including a USB charging port, LED headlight and side stand engine cutoff further makes it even practical when compared to the other variants.

Hardware

Being the top-end variant, it will obviously come with disc brakes on either end. As per the spec sheet, the front one is a 276mm unit while the one at the back is slightly smaller measuring around 220mm. Interestingly, the all-new Hero Xtreme 160R will also feature ABS.

Talking about the suspension duties, it will be managed by a 37mm telescopic fork upfront. Meanwhile, at the back, the same comes equipped with an adjustable monoshock setup.

Engine

Powering the all-new bike is a 160cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out a decent 15.2PS @ 8500 RPM and 14Nm @ 6500 RPM while being paired to a 5-speed gearbox. Interestingly, the overall weight according to the spec sheet stands at just 139.5kgs that makes it a perfect ride for everyday commutes.

TVS has recently updated the truly capable Apache RTR 160 4V for the Indian market. To start with, it now gets an updated LED headlight with DRL, multiple ride modes and an all-new ‘Special Edition’ that is based upon the top-end dual disc variant. Power on the new Apache RTR 160 4V is still propelled by a 159.7cc single-cylinder engine that churns out a massive 17.63PS and 14.73Nm of peak torque. The top speed of the updated bike is rated at 114kmph.
