There’s a reason why everyone is calling it a highly anticipated launch. Let’s start with the first one, Hero MotoCorp solely introduced this new version of Xpulse 200 because of customers’ feedback. Styling & Feature Updates

Hero MotoCorp has used this opportunity really well by introducing much-needed updates on the new Xpulse 200 4V. To begin with, it is now available with an updated LED headlight and a revised seat to improve the ergonomics.

Several new shades including Blitz Blue, Red Raid and Trail Blue have also been added this time. Interestingly, even the graphics along with a 4V badge on the fuel tank are also a part of this update.

In terms of features, nothing much has changed. A new set of switchgear with a kill switch has been added to align it to the other modern adventure bikes currently available in the market.

Hardware

It is entirely the older setup and to begin with, suspension duties for the new Xpulse 200 4V are managed by a 37mm telescopic fork up front. Meanwhile, at the back, it still gets a conventional monoshock unit which can be adjusted in 10-steps for preload. Talking about the wheels, the updated bike runs on a 21-inch (front) and 18-inch (rear) wheel combination.

Engine

Talking about the massive change, the all-new Hero Xpulse 200 4V now gets a four-valve setup while replacing the older one. The 2V variant produces 18HP and 16.45Nm while this updated bike with a 4V setup churns out a better 19HP and 17.35Nm.

Of course, it is expensive to manufacture but the improved airflow that aids to the overall performance somehow does make sense at any point.

Alternatives

There are no direct rivals to the recently launched Hero Xpulse 200 4V. However, in terms of performance, it competes against the all-new Honda CB200X in India.

So many mixed reactions but the brand did what they wanted to by introducing the all-new Honda CB200X. It comes powered by a 182.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine but with the conventional twin-valve technology. The overall output from this engine is rated at 17Bhp and 16.1Nm while being paired to a 5-speedĀ  gearbox. Feature-wise, the new Honda CB200X comes loaded with a hazard switch, LED headlight, knuckle guards and LCD instrument cluster among others.
