Japanese automaker Honda has launched its latest tenth generation Honda Civic with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹17.70 lakh in India. The prices of the top model can go up to ₹22.30 lakh.

The new Honda civic comes with new state of the art features and is 4,656 mm in length, 1,799 mm in width, 1,433 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

The new civic was showcased for the first time in Auto Expo 2018 but is launched now, after a year. As per the automobile experts, the best thing about the new Civic is that is has Diesel engine unlike the previous civic models which were only available in the petrol variant, a drawback which led to the eventual elimination of Civic.

The new model has a stylish chrome grille with auto LED headlights having L-shaped LED daytime running lights, dual-tone front bumper with chrome inserts and a pair of chrome fog lamps. It has a coupe-like roof-top. The model which has wheelbase of 2,700 mm comes along with 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

Some other features of the newly launched car include, dual-tone interiors with a 7-inch wide touchscreen infotainment system with a Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity options.

The steering is wrapped in leather having 3 stokes and has features for multiple functions, automatic climate control (dual zone) and 8-way power driver seat. Engine start/stop button, auto-rain sensing wipers, machine controlled sunroof, front centre arm rest with storage among others. The petrol version comes with Remote Engine Starter and Paddle Shifts.

Gaku Nakanishi, President & CEO, Honda Cars India while presenting the Honda’s longest-running automotive nameplate till now and its largest selling model globally i.e. Civic, said, “We are delighted to expand our product portfolio in India with the launch of the iconic and our global best seller Honda Civic. This is Honda’s 3rd new model introduction in FY19 and the launch of Civic completes our premium sedan line-up in India.”

As per the automobile experts the all new civic has the potential of reviving the executive Sedan car segment in India.
