Honda has recently launched the ‘Special Edition’ Amaze in India to boost its sale during this festive season. However, the special edition is based on the S variant of Honda Amaze and it comes with both diesel and petrol option with an MT as well as CVT. Meanwhile, it costs a premium of ₹12,000 for the additional features when compared to the regular variant.
Coming to the additional features that the all-new Special Edition Honda Amaze get includes a 7-inch Digipad 2.0 touchscreen infotainment system, premium seat covers, sliding armrest, new graphics across the car and a ‘Special Edition’ badging on the tailgate.Apart from the additional features, it also gets an advanced MID, dual trip meter, premium headlamps, dual airbags and ABS.
Based on the S variant, the all-new special edition Honda Amaze draws its power from the same 1.2L Petrol as well as a 1.5L Diesel engine. The petrol engine, however, produces 88.7BHP of power and 110Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the diesel engine churns a maximum output of 98BHP and a peak torque of 200Nm.
In India, Honda Amaze competes with the other compact sedans such as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Ford Aspire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor. However, launching the special edition does seems to be the right move for Honda.
