With the increase in demand for the Electric Vehicles, many carmakers are now working on the Hydrogen cars. Hyperion Motors is one such carmaker that has introduced the Hyperion XP-1. The Hyperion XP-1 runs on an electric-powered hydrogen-based engine.

The Hyperion XP-1 uses a carbon-titanium monocoque chassis platform. Meanwhile, the hydrogen fuel tank is made up of carbon fiber which reduces the weight of the hypercar to a great extent. The kerb weight of the hypercar is expected to be 1248 kgs.

Hyperion XP-1 can cover a 1635 km range after refueling which requires only 5 minutes for a full charge. The Hyperion XP-1 channels power to all wheels with a 3-speed transmission. Likewise, it can do a 0-96 kmph in just 2.2 seconds while the top speed remains to be 356 kmph.

The interior of the Hyperion XP-1 is yet not revealed. The car still remains a prototype and the production can take around 2-3 months. The prototype mainly focuses on really fast charging, the longer life cycle of the machine, and the one that can be durable.

Hyperion Motors is working with almost all major aeronautics companies, including NASA for the production of the Hyperion XP-1. The company will be launching the production unit soon. And the hypercar is all set to be available in the US by 2022. Around 300 units of Hyperion XP-1 are to be manufactured by the company.
