There are soo many differences between the Alcazar and Creta. The first one is obviously more practical with a third row while the latter one is sportier and modern enough to crush its rivals in several departments. Now talking about the similarities, both of them are the best sellers in their respective segments and now they are even helping the brand to gain a lot of new customers.

Surprisingly, it’s just the first month since the day of its launch and Hyundai has already bagged over 11,000 bookings for the Alcazar. As claimed by the brand, it is the top-end diesel variant that has witnessed a comparatively higher demand.

Hyundai Alcazar (Signature)

As claimed by the carmaker, the top-spec Signature variant is highly in demand. To be precise, it packs some exciting features such as a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, large panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, parking sensors (front & rear) and a 360-degree to name a few.

It’s true that almost all the variants come packed with several features as standard. But when compared to Prestige and Platinum, the Signature variant does offer an edge over the others. Just for your information, this variant is only available with a 6-seater layout.

Engine & Transmission

Under the hood, the new Alcazar comes with either 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol or a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine. The overall output from the first one is rated at 159HP while the latter one is tuned to churn out a decent 115HP. Interestingly, the torque figures from both the units stand at 191Nm and 250Nm respectively.

Talking about the transmission, both of them are available with a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. As claimed by the carmaker, the diesel variant of Alcazar returns a mileage of somewhere around 20kmpl, again making it ‘best in segment’.
