The second-generation Hyundai Creta was launched in March 2020. Because of the lockdown due to the pandemic, it was assumed that the sales figure by the automobile companies would not be so encouraging. But Hyundai recently delivered around 20,000 Creta to its customers.

According to Hyundai India, almost 55,000 plus bookings are placed yet. The sales of the Hyundai Creta are higher than any of its rival compact SUVs becoming the best selling SUV for the month of May and June.

Previously, Hyundai also recorded around 1.5 million visitors on its digital sales platform called ‘Click to Buy’.

The diesel engine is the most popular amongst the buyers. Around 60% of the sales figure comprises of diesel variants. Meanwhile, all other carmakers are discontinuing their diesel engines, Hyundai preferred to continue with them.

The all-new Hyundai Creta known as ‘The Ultimate SUV’ as per their tagline comes with three different terrain modes- snow, mud and sand. However, the large panoramic sunroof, all-new instrument cluster, different drive modes, surround sound system by Bose, healthy air purifier, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system steals the show for the all-new Hyundai Creta.

Hyundai Creta comes with three engine options:

  • 1.5L Diesel CRDi VGT
  • 1.5L Petrol Dual VTVT
  • 1.4L Petrol Turbo GDi

Hyundai is the parent company of Kia Motors.  Still, both companies show promising sales figures and a brighter future in the Indian market.
