Exterior
The major updates are on the outside and without a doubt, they really compliment the overall design language of the standard i20. Starting with the front profile, buyers of the new Hyundai i20 N-Line will get a slightly reprofiled bumper, new fog lamp housing and a blacked-out grille with ‘N-Line’ badging next to the number plate housing. The side profile has been updated similarly with side skirts alongside a new diffuser and sportier exhaust at the back.
Hyundai has also introduced a rear spoiler for improved aerodynamics. Apart from this, the new hatchback will now be available with four exterior shades including – Titan Grey, Polar White, Thunder Blue and Fiery Red. Interestingly, the last two are also coming with dual-tone shades with the roof finished in Phantom Black as standard.
Interior

Since the interior of both the standard and N-Line models are almost similar to each other, therefore the brand has decided to continue using the all-black theme. Staring with the changes, it gets a new three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, leather finished gear knob, aluminium pedals and N-badging across the cabin.
Hyundai has been successful in retaining the practicality with certain features such as an electronic sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital instrument cluster, cruise control, etc. among others. In terms of safety, the upcoming Hyundai i20 N-Line will get six airbags, vehicle stability management, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, ABS and similar others.
Engine
As expected, Hyundai has used the potent 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine on the i20 N-Line. As claimed by the brand, the overall output from this unit is rated at 120HP and 172Nm. You will be surprised to know that there will be no proper manual gearbox on offer. Instead, the carmaker has decided to offer a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT gearbox with paddle shifters.
Hardware
Several mechanical upgrades are said to be a part of the upcoming i20 N-Line. So, let’s start with the suspension setup. Hyundai has tuned each one of them to provide precision when it comes to ride and handling. Unlike the standard model, this one also gets disc brakes on all four wheels for improved braking performance.

Searching for its rival? Well, right now, there are none. But in terms of pricing, it will compete with sub-four meter SUVs such as Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue among others. According to Hyundai, the launch of the all-new i20 N-Line has been slated for 2nd September 2021.
