The perspective of new car buyers have shifted from hatchbacks to this all-new sub-four meter SUV segment and the reason is very clear. Who doesn’t want better ground clearance, more road presence and value for money?
These factors have done wonders for brands and buyers; therefore, today, we have covered a detailed comparison between Hyundai Venue and Nissan Magnite. Planning to buy one? Check out which one is better according to your requirement.
Hyundai Venue

Although it is priced higher than the Nissan Magnite, the new Hyundai Venue is still a value for money because of its latest technologies. Take it as a slightly smaller Creta with a very compact dimension, perfect for city use.
Ask for one and Hyundai has got three to offer. You heard that right. The first one is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine known for producing a decent 81BHP and 113Nm of torque. Then arrives another petrol motor but it is turbocharged for added performance. With a 998cc displacement, this motor churns out a bonkers 118BHP alongside a peak torque of 171Nm. A fuel-efficient, 1.5-litre diesel motor good for 98BHP and 240Nm is also available as the third option.
Talking about the gearboxes, several units including manual, iMT and DCT are there as per the variants.
Hyundai usually believes in loading a lot of features to their offerings. This way Venue sports an electronic sunroof, wireless charging, connected car feature, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, push start-stop and cruise control among others.
Nissan Magnite

For buyers who are having an absolute tight budget, this can be your go-to SUV. Nissan has currently priced the Magnite at Rs.5.59 Lakhs for the entry-level variant and the top end Turbo CVT Premium Opt Dual Tone at Rs.10 Lakhs.
It gets a 1.0-litre three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that churns out 71BHP of power and 96Nm of peak torque. A similarly displaced turbo petrol motor is also available propelling 98BHP and 160Nm of peak torque.
Transmission duties for these engines are managed by a manual or a CVT gearbox. Also, the claimed fuel efficiency by the ARAI for the turbo variant stands at 20kmpl.
In terms of features, Nissan Magnite is not the best option, but it outperforms many of its rivals because of the aggressive pricing. Coming back to the features, the list includes a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, dual airbags, LED headlamps, etc just to name a few.
