Hyundai India launched its first Electric Vehicle, the Hyundai Kona last year assuming that the EV would capture the Indian market soon. But any new technology takes some time for getting established.

Its rival MG launched the ZS-EV, while Tata launched an electric version of the Nexon.

Recently Hyundai has announced the ‘Wonder Warranty’ programme for the Hyundai Kona customers. Wonder Warranty offers 3 different warranty programs for the customer :

  • 3 year/ Unlimited km Warranty
  • 4 year/60,000 km Warranty
  • 5 year/50,000 km Warranty

However, the existing customers can opt for any of these warranty schemes without any further cost.

The Hyundai Kona is a fully electric SUV priced at ₹23.75 lakhs onwards (ex-showroom). Powered by a 39.2 kWh battery churning out 134.1bhp and 395Nm of torque.

Hyundai Kona comes up with 4 drive modes – Eco, Eco+, Comfort, and Sport. Paddle shifters offered for the slick shifts.

Hyundai India also specified its new 7.2 kW AC charging station installed at almost 50 dealerships. Hyundai also offers a 7.2kW AC chargers to the customers. It takes around 6 hours 10 minutes to completely charge the vehicle at home. Many other charging options such as Vehicle to Vehicle charging and Portable charging which comes with the roadside assist are also offered.
