Design

Just like the outgoing counterpart, the new Brutale 1000 RS looks aggressive with a muscular fuel tank. The front profile of the naked superbike still comes with an oval LED headlamp for a sportier look. However, a slight change at the back makes it perfectly aligned to the overall design language.

Features

In terms of features, the updated motorcycle takes inspiration from the Brutale 1000 RR. To be precise, it gets a 5.5-inch TFT instrument console, LED headlights, new wing mirrors, side-mounted twin exhausts, cornering ABS and launch control just to name a few.

Hardware

Based on the steel trellis frame, the 2022 Brutale 1000 RS sits on an adjustable 50mm USD fork upfront which is of course a Marzocchi unit. At the back, it still uses a Sachs adjustable monoshock setup that features an electronic steering damper sourced from Ohlins. Unlike all this, the RR variant of the same features Ohlins premium suspension that costs the buyers a premium price tag.

Braking duties for the all-new bike are managed by twin 320mm discs (front) and a single 220mm disc at the back.

Engine

Powering the new range of Brutale 1000 RS is a potent 998cc four-cylinder engine. The overall output from this unit is rated at 208HP and 116.5Nm while being paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Just for the rider’s convenience, there’s even a bi-directional quickshifter that works brilliantly in conjunction with the gearbox. As claimed by the Italian bike manufacturer, the 2022 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RS comes with a top speed of 300kmph.

Alternatives

Globally, it competes with some well-known rivals such as Aprilia Tuono V4, BMW S 1000 R, KTM 1290 Super Duke and Yamaha MT-09 to name a few. Want to learn more about the BMW S 1000 R? Check out the details down below.
