Remember the Jeep Grand Cherokee L which was revealed last year? Well, Commander takes a lot of inspiration from it. To differentiate, there are several new panels introduced in the form of a revised – grille, bonnet hood, slim LED headlamps, rear diffuser and alloy wheels. Apart from this, the all-new SUV also comes with LED DRLs and fog lamps complete the front fascia with a striking look.

As claimed by the brand, Jeep Commander/Meridian measures 4769mm in length, 1859mm in width and 1682mm in height with a 2794mm long wheelbase.

Interior

A similar layout that we have already witnessed on the updated Compass will be serving the all-new Commander/Meridian. Starting with the dashboard, it still gets a multi-functional steering wheel behind which you will find the 10.25-inch fully instrument cluster. Apart from this, a 10.1-inch infotainment system, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone charger and electrically adjustable front seats will continue to be a part of standard equipment.

For airiness inside the cabin, it will also feature a large panoramic sunroof. Talking about the second and last row, one can expect both of them to offer an ample amount of space.

Also, a fuel-efficient 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine will be there for the entry-level variants. As per the spec sheet, this unit is truly capable of churning out a decent 185HP and 270Nm of peak torque.
