Design, Features & Colour Schemes
Being a comfortable yet sportier tourer, Suzuki GSX-S1000GT comes with a large windscreen, wing mirrors, fairing and twin-pod LED headlights at the front. The side profile of the recently revealed motorcycle does look like a sports bike. However, with a comfortable riding position and 19-litre fuel tank, it remains practical than any other typical sports bike available for sale.
Several colour schemes including Metallic Reflective Blue, Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Triton Blue are there for customers as an option for customisation.
In terms of features, it is loaded up to the brim with a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console, smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth, cruise control, traction control and an all-LED lighting etc among others.
Hardware
Based on the twin-spar aluminium frame it gets an additional bolt-on subframe for added practicality. At the front, the GSX-S1000GT sits on an adjustable 43mm KYB inverted fork while at the back, there’s an adjustable monoshock unit to handle all the suspension duties. For rider’s safety, this new tourer gets twin 310mm discs (front) with Brembo Calipers available as standard.
Engine
Powered by a 999cc four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, the all-new GSX-S1000GT is truly capable of churning out a massive 152PS of power and 106Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties for this unit are managed by a 6-speed manual transmission with a bi-directional quickshifter and slip & assist clutch available as standard.
Price & India Launch
Suzuki has priced the GSX-S1000GT at £11,599 in the UK. Just before the Euro-5/BS6 era, the Japanese brand used to sell other GSX bikes in India and therefore, we can expect it to arrive here really soon.
