HIGHLIGHTS:

Jaguar India has started the bookings for the I-Pace in India. It will be Jaguar’s first all-electric SUV in the country. However, the company has decided to start delivering the EV from March 2021.

Powered by a 90kWh lithium-ion battery the Jaguar I-Pace comes with two electric motors that produce 400Ps of power with a peak torque of 696Nm. Meanwhile, the EV can do a 0-100kmph sprint in just 4.8 seconds.

Design-wise, the 2021 Jaguar I-Pace gets a scooped out bonnet and grille curves that move inward. Apart from this, the all-electric SUV comes with LED headlights with DRLs. However, customers can choose the Matrix LED headlights with signature DRLs as well. Jaguar is offering 18-inch alloy wheels on the 2021 I-Pace. Meanwhile, buyers can opt for the 19-inch alloy wheels as optional.

Inside the cabin, the all-new electric SUV comes with Pivi Pro Infotainment System, 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display, Meridian surround sound system, a head-up display, etc. Meanwhile, the infotainment system on the new I-Pace comes with Android Auto and CarPlay.

Safety features on the I-Pace include six airbags, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, an external sound system to alert pedestrians, a 3D surround camera, Cruise Control and Speed Limiter, Driver Condition Monitoring and Front and Rear Parking Sensors.

We expect I-Pace to do well in the Indian market as Tata is working on the EV Charging Network. The company recently installed 200 charging stations in around 23 cities while expanding rapidly.
