Still, waiting for the 2021 Jeep Compass? Well, Jeep India has launched the updated SUV here and the price range now starts from 16.99 Lakh onwards. Further, the top-spec Model S variant now costs Rs. 28.29 Lakhs (all prices average ex-showroom, India).
Interestingly, Jeep has also introduced a limited 80th Anniversary edition of the all-new Compass that looks absolutely baffling with the additional color schemes on offer.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Jeep India has launched the Jeep Compass facelift at Rs.16.99 Lakh onwards.
  • The American carmaker has also introduced the 80th Anniversary edition Compass.
  • Three new color schemes have been added to the lineup.

Design-wise, the 2021 Jeep Compass remains almost similar to the outgoing one. However, there are subtle changes such as slimmer LED headlights with DRLs, a revised front bumper and new housing for fog lamps. Apart from this, the updated SUV now runs on a new set of alloy wheels alongside redesigned taillamps as well.

The cabin of the 2021 Compass has been redesigned and there are multiple new features on offer inside. It now comes equipped with a new 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Further, there is the panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, connected car tech, etc. among others.

Under the hood, it draws power from the 2.0-litre diesel engine that churns out a massive 173HP. There is another 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol motor that produces 163HP. To conclude the all-new Jeep Compass remains mechanically unchanged. However, both the engines are available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Customers can opt for a 9-speed torque converter with the diesel engine and a 7-speed DSG transmission with the petrol engine.

With its launch, the Jeep Compass facelift will now go head-on against the likes of Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Karoq, Volkswagen T-Roc and Tata Harrier among others. Further, it still remains one of the best off-roaders in its segment when compared to the rivals. Interestingly, Jeep has announced that the company will reveal the 2021 Jeep Compass Trailhawk soon.
