Changes on the Outside
Firstly, don’t mistake it for GT Line. This all-new new Kia Sonet X-Line can be differentiated by just looking at the latest Matte Graphite shade and to enhance the side profile further, the Korean carmaker has also used 16-inch (crystal cut) alloy wheels as standard.
Still confused? The front grille will help you figure out this new sub-four metre SUV easily. Also, for a sportier appeal, Kia has infused piano-black treatment on the wing mirrors, shark fin antenna, dual exhaust outlet, X-Line logos, etc to name a few.
Changes on the Inside
Cabin of the Sonet X-Line feels plush with revised leather seats that get contrast orange stitching, a stylish steering wheel and X-Line logos. Kia has retained other useful features such as ventilated seats, air purifier, wireless charger, electric sunroof and a massive 10.25-inch touchscreen. Thankfully, the infotainment system still gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay making it a complete setup.
Safety
For occupant’s safety, Kia Sonet X-Line comes loaded with six airbags, ESC, a tyre pressure monitoring system, vehicle stability control and ABS with EBD as standard.
Engine and Transmission
Under the hood, Sonet X-Line is available with a powerful 120PS, 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a 7-speed DCT gearbox but, in case the customer wants to go for a more fuel efficient and torquey alternative, they can go with the 1.5-litre diesel engine. On the X-Line, this motor is paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox with overall output rated at 115PS and 250Nm.
For now, the naturally aspirated petrol engine has been dropped in the case of the X-Line edition.
