Kia offers several different editions of Seltos globally and the expectations from the Korean carmaker is considerably high in India as well. Well, Kia listens to its customers, as a result, they have finally introduced the new Seltos X Line with a price tag starting at Rs.17.79 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

What’s different?
On the outside, the overall silhouette of the Seltos remains as it is but to differentiate it from other variants, Kia has decided to offer an ‘Xclusive Matte Graphite’ shade. Just to complement this entire new theme, the skid plates of the special edition Seltos have been finished in the ‘Xclusive Piano Black’ colour scheme.
The updated SUV also runs on larger 18-inch alloy wheels to enhance the overall design language.
Enter the cabin and there you will find a similar layout that is available on the standard Seltos. However, to improve the exclusivity, Kia has played smartly with Indigo Pera upholstery. As claimed by the brand, it will remain similar to the GTX+ variant in terms of features.

Engine & Powertrain
The new X Line variants are not here to bring any difference under the hood. To be precise, it will continue to use a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine with overall output rated at 140HP and 242Nm. A mile muncher 1.5-litre diesel engine is also there to power the all-new X Line. According to the spec sheet, this unit churns out a decent 115BHP and 250Nm of peak torque.
Since these engines are only available with convenient options. Therefore, a 6-speed toque converter for the diesel version and a 7-speed DCT gearbox for the petrol counterpart will be assisting all the transmission duties.
Price
For a price tag ranging between Rs.17 Lakhs to Rs.18 Lakhs, customers can also get the SX Optional Turbo variant with Dual Tone exterior shade of the Hyundai Creta. According to Kia, the new Seltos X Line is priced at Rs.17.79 Lakhs for petrol AT trim, Meanwhile, it is the diesel AT that cost its buyers a premium of Rs.18.10 Lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
