Kia EV6

The first batch will only consist of 100 units. Looks like there’s a need to rush! So, without wasting any further time, let’s talk about its design language. As we mentioned earlier, Kia EV6 does look ahead of its time and at the front end, it does get dual LED headlamps with dynamic swipe indicators. Even the rear end is perfect with a continuously running taillamp that feels futuristic and can also make its debut in upcoming cars from Kia.

Inside the cabin, EV6 boasts upholstery that remains cruelty-free. The dashboard also features a premium material with massive screens and a new steering wheel, that looks great all together. Feature-wise, it has been packed with an electric sunroof, 14-speaker Meridian surround sound system, ambient lighting and an auto-dimming IRVM. The electric car even comes equipped with multiple ADAS features including lane keep assist, cruise control, driver attention warning and anti-collision braking to keep the occupants safe,

Although Kia is offering EV6 in five different trim levels globally, the brand is expected to come up with two of them in India. The first one is a rear-wheel-drive model that churns out a decent 229PS and 350Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the one with a four-wheel-drive powertrain gets dual electric motors to produce a massive 325PS and 605Nm of peak torque. Surprisingly, both of them are being offered with a 77.4kWh battery pack as standard.

We know the fact that the charging infrastructure is still growing in India Well, that’s another reason why EV6 can be charged from 0-80 per cent in just 18 minutes. It may differ depending upon the charger.

Talking about the most interesting part about this new EV is that it can clock a triple-digit speed in just 3.5 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 192kmph.

Competitors

India is still growing as an electric market and since this is a CBU unit, EV6 is expected to come with a hefty price tag. Currently, there are only a few electric vehicles that come close to EV6 and one of them is the new Volvo XC40 Recharge.
