Exterior

Of course, it takes inspiration from the Huracan Super Trofeo EVO. But for a separate identity, this supercar gets a totally revised exterior with 75% of the body panels finished with carbon fibre. For starters, carbon fibre is a material that helps the carmaker to save a lot of weight without compromising the overall build quality.

The new Huracan STO measures only 1339kgs (dry) in terms of weight. Well, another reason for such intense weight loss is the dropped four-wheel drive powertrain that was offered earlier on the Performante model.

The driving dynamics of the upcoming supercar is typically track-oriented. The front bumper and bonnet hood made up of ‘Confango’ material is there to further enhance the aerodynamic efficiency.

Interior

Despite being a supercar, it is practical enough on the inside. A well-laid, driver-oriented cabin with a minimalistic approach is there for the least distraction. For comfortable seating, it gets well-contoured sports seats with a titanium roll bar and 4-point seat belts. An 8.4-inch infotainment system is further there with all sorts of vital information as well as entertainment.

Just like on the outside, the Huracan STO also get carbon fibre finishing on the inside. To alter the performance, driver can any time opt for the STO, Trofeo and Pioggia drive modes as per the requirement.

Engine & Performance

Under the hood, a performance-oriented 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine is there to thrust 630BHP @ 8,000 RPM and 565Nm of peak torque @ 6,500 RPM. For linear power delivery, this motor comes paired to an undisputed 7-speed LDF dual-clutch gearbox with power channelled to rear wheels as standard.

Essentially, one can test the supreme limits of this mean machine only on tracks. As claimed by the carmaker, it can clock a triple-digit speed within 3 seconds. The top speed from the same stands at 310kmph giving everyone a true essence of what Lamborghini can actually do.

Alternatives

Globally, the new Huracan STO compares with some well-established super sports cars such Jaguar F-Pace SVR, Nissan GT-R Nismo and Mercedes AMG GT Black Series. For now, check out this comparison between Lamborghini Huracan STO and Mercedes AMG GT Black Series.
