Exterior & Design
The front profile of the luxury saloon features a set of nicely integrated LED headlamps. To be precise, these headlamps are said to be available with ‘Digital light’ technology that improves visibility by 2 times.
Other than this, a revised chrome grille, reworked bumpers, wraparound taillights, etc will also be a part of the update list.
For a personalised experience, customers are expected to get the option to choose among alloy wheels ranging from 18 to 21-inches. As claimed by the brand, the updated sedan is bigger and even spacious when compared to the outgoing predecessor.
The new S-Class will get five colour shades on offer, including – Onyx Black, Anthracite Blue, Emerald Green, Designo Diamond White and Rubellite Red. Apart from this, the exterior colour scheme is said to be the deciding factor for the upholstery finishing as well.
Interior & Features
People go for Mercedes-Benz S-Class just for their interiors. To begin with, the back seats are available with extended under-thigh support similar to what we see on a recliner chair.
Further, the new MBUX infotainment system comes with gesture control as well as fingerprint, voice and face recognition for a personalised experience.
Other features such as ambient lighting, 31-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system, sunroof and the heads-up display will be available as standard across all variants.
Engine
Being the imported models, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class range will be available in either the S400d 4Matic variant or the S450 4Matic variant.
To begin with, the first one is currently available with a 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel motor that churns out a massive 330HP and 700Nm of peak torque. Similarly, the latter one gets a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 362HP and 500Nm of torque.
Both of them will come mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox as standard. Also, four-wheel steering is expected to be a part of the 2021 S-Class CBU version.
