Lotus Emira: Here’s What We Can Expect From It
Exterior & Design
Carefully crafted with aerodynamic efficiency in mind, Lotus Emira does take inspiration from its predecessors. In terms of dimensions, it is 4412mm long, 1895mm wide, and 1225mm tall. It also features a wheelbase that is 2575mm as per the spec sheet of the sportscar.
To get into the details, it comes with massive air intakes, distinctive LED headlights, C-shaped LED taillamps and a free-flowing design. The 20-inch alloy wheels on the Emira look stylish and are wrapped with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport rubber. The brand earlier announced that customers who wish to opt for Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubbers can get them instead of the former one.

Interior & Features
A neatly finished cabin with a good fit and finish is something one can expect from the upcoming Emira. The material used inside feels premium, and the ergonomically designed cockpit gets driver-focused controls and neatly finished seats as standard.
For those who crave screens, Lotus Emira will not disappoint you. Standing at the centre of the dashboard is a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and then, it also features a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display, which makes it nothing less than flawless. Other feature, including a KEF 10-channel surround sound system is there to offer an immersive sound experience. Lastly, Emira also comes with sports seats that get a 12-way electronic adjustment.

Engine & Performance
At the core, Lotus Emira uses an AMG-powered 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine crafted to deliver an unmatched driving experience. Generating an adequate 355 horsepower, it is one of the most exciting motors pinning you towards the seat.
Then, there’s a powerful 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engine by Toyota aimed at delivering instant 395 horsepower. The performance extracted from Emira is not only restricted to papers. The sports car can do a 0-100kmph sprint in 4.5 seconds, putting all the power into play and making it an automotive masterpiece.
The Emira’s top speed of 290kmph is not just a statistic; it is a testament to how capable the Toyota-powered engine is and how well it works with the entire setup. Apart from the raw power that is being offered, the gearbox options, including – a 6-speed manual, an automatic and a DCT gearbox, give the customers the liberty to choose what they want and not what the automaker offers.

Price Expectation
While Lotus just entered the Indian market with its electric SUV. We expect the brand’s upcoming sports car – Emira, to get a price tag somewhere around 2.5 Crore (ex-showroom, India).
