Inside the cabin, it does feel like a typical Mahindra SUV but with a new layout for the dashboard, the overall ambience has improved to a certain extent. To begin with, the company has tried to improve a lot with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, silver accents on the centre console, adjustable steering wheel for rake, twin-pod instrument cluster and armrests for both first and second row. The seats also look premium with good quality material while the last row is now reserved for jump seats, making it a proper 7-seater.

A plethora of safety features including dual front airbags, steel body shell, anti-locking braking system with EBD, cornering brake control, engine immobilizer, high-speed alerts, reverse parking sensors and seat belt reminder are a part of the equipment.

Engine

Under the hood, the all-new Mahindra Bolero Neo features a 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel engine that is truly capable of producing a decent 100HP and 260Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties for this setup will be handled by a potent 5-speed manual gearbox. We cannot expect thrilling performance from such kind of motor but for added fuel efficiency, it features Eco mode and the Micro-Hybrid technology with ESS as standard. Being a rear-wheel drive SUV, it will be getting a mechanically locking differential for the first time.
