HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Mahindra XUV 3XO was teased recently by the brand.
  • It will be the next-generation heavily-updated XUV 300.
  • The Indian automaker will be revealing it on 29th April.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: What to expect?

Several images of a highly camouflaged XUV 3XO are already available on the internet, and that provides enough idea of how massive the changes on the SUV could be.

To begin with, the headlights have been revised with DRLs incorporated in the same headlamp assembly. The grille has also been revised and now sits above a completely revised bumper. Mahindra has also teased the rear end of the SUV and it now features a connected tail lamp. As expected, the rear has changed dramatically.

On the contrary, the side profile might remind you of the XUV 300. However, to offer a fresh look on either side, the carmaker has decided to introduce a fresh set of alloy wheels. For an SUV-ish kind of stance, it will also feature black body cladding on the lower half.

Talking about the inside, the automaker might revise the entire cabin. As per the teaser, the unit is similar to what we recently saw on the new XUV400. The SUV is also expected to get a larger sunroof.

Expect the XUV 3XO to feature three engine options where the first one remains a 1.5-litre diesel engine capable of producing 117 horsepower and 300Nm of peak torque. Then, there is a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with overall output rated at 110 horsepower. Last but not least, Mahindra might come up with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol TGDi motor that churns 130 horsepower and 230Nm.

Just like the XUV300, all these engines will get an option between a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

There is also speculation that Mahindra would trade the XUV400 in future for the XUV 3XO EV.
