Mahindra has recently announced that the Mahindra XUV300 will now be available with a petrol AMT variant. Meanwhile, customers who wish to own the automatic variant will have to pay a premium of Rs.9.95 Lakh onwards. This amount is certainly higher by Rs.55,000 when compared to the manual variant.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Mahindra has recently launched the Mahindra XUV300 petrol AMT variant.
  • It comes with a price tag of Rs.9.95 Lakh onwards.
  • Multiple features such as the new BlueSense Plus connected car tech is now available.

Firstly, the AMT gearbox is only available with the W6 and W8(O) variant. In terms of updates, Mahindra has finally decided to offer a sunroof on the mid-spec W6 variant. However, for that customers need to pay Rs.27,000 more and the W6 variant is now priced at Rs.9.4 Lakh onwards. The AMT variants whether diesel or petrol comes with hill start assist. Sadly, the manual variants lack this feature.

Additional Features

Coming to the features, the top-spec W8(O) variant comes with dual-zone climate control, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a rearview camera, front parking sensors and 7 airbags among others. Meanwhile, the infotainment system on the SUV supports both Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay. So what’s new? It is the newly added Mahindra’s BlueSense Plus connected car tech that can be used in multiple ways. This new feature can be used as remote vehicle control, alerts regarding the car and location-based safety and security services.

Engine & Transmission

The petrol engine that powers the Mahindra XUV300 is a 108HP, 1.2-litre turbocharged unit. Earlier, it was only available with a six-speed manual gearbox. However, with the introduction of the AMT variant, it is now available with an optional 6-speed AMT gearbox. Further, a 115HP, 1.5-litre diesel engine is also available with the Mahindra XUV300.

Bookings for the all-new petrol AMT Mahindra XUV300 is now open for interested customers. However, the Indian carmaker will start the deliveries from February end. The sub 4-meter segment continues to remain one of the most competitive segments in India. However, we hope adding multiple features and AMT gearbox to the Mahindra XUV300 does help the carmaker in a precise manner.
