After keeping the fans waiting for long, Maruti finally announced the latest version of its most popular sedan car in India, Dzire. The 2017 model of Dzire will have a starting price of ₹5.45 lakh (Ex-showroom price, Delhi).
Dzire has been one of the biggest selling cars in sedan category continuously for years. The company had started pre-booking for the new model a month back with a token price of ₹11,000. Maruti has launched the latest model without Swift badge.
The 2017 model is based on HEARTECT platform, it makes the car lighter, rigid and more safer. On all models upwards of V variant, the car will have an AGS (Auto Gear Shift) technology. Also, the Diesel models will have DDiS 190 Diesel engine and petrol variant will feature VVT 1.2 Petrol K series engine.
The exterior of new Dzire 2017 has got a complete makeover with new headlights and modified front grille. Interior of the car too looks great with burl wood ornamentation and satin chrome. The car has also got Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to give riches in-car experience to the buyers.
Though the car has been one of the most selling car for the brand over the years, it will face tough competition from the likes of Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Aspire, Volkswagen Ameo and the recent Tata Tigor in compact sedan category.
