Maruti Suzuki has launched the CVT option for Alpha variant of its premium hatchback Baleno which will be priced at ₹8.34 lakh in India. This is the third variant of Baleno in which a CVT gearbox has been added. The company already provides the automatic option in Delta and Zeta variant of the model.
The automatic Baleno will be coming with high-end features like Smartphone Linkage Display Audio which works with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink.
Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno model is one of the best selling cars in the premium hatchback segment. Apparently, it was the first car to bring dual air bags and Anti-locking Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Braking Distribution (EBD) to the segment.
In just two years of the time period, the company has managed to sell over two lakh cars of the model. The car has achieved one lakh mark in less than a year and set a record for being the top selling premium hatchback in India. Baleno is the first model of Maruti Suzuki which is being exported to Japan. Currently, the company currently exports this model to over 100 countries around the world.
