Toyota and Subaru are working together on this electric SUV and right now, that is enough to tell how highly anticipated this project is. The Toyota Group has already introduced it earlier but now the all-new Toyota bZ4X concept has made its debut in the US. To understand this electric SUV better, one should be familiar with the Toyota RAV4.

So is the all-new bZ4X concept takes inspiration from the well-established RAV4? Well, according to the brand, Toyota and Subaru have developed it from the scratch. But in terms of size and design, the all-new electric SUV might look very similar to the RAV4.

The carmaker has not revealed much regarding the all-new Toyota bZ4X yet. However, to begin with, it is based upon the brand’s new e-TNGA platform. As we can see, the all-new electric SUV is already close to its production form therefore, we can conclude that Toyota is only expected to give some final finishing touch to it.

Inside the cabin, the all-new bZ4X does feel futuristic. To be precise, it gets a highly situated instrument cluster that draws inspiration from the heads-up display. Also, a typical infotainment system with tons of buttons and knobs are still there for the enhanced practicality.

Pictures of a yoke-style steering wheel have been surfacing the internet. But the carmaker has finally introduced a conventional multi-functional steering wheel. To conclude, the production version of the upcoming bZ4X will get similar updates at the time of its unveiling.

We do not have any details regarding the powertrain yet. However, being an SUV, the all-new Toyota bZ4X is expected to come with a twin-electric motor setup. This way, it will also get a four-wheel-drive powertrain as standard. As per the recent updates, Subaru will launch the rebadged version of the Toyota bZ4X as Subaru Solterra.
