There’s even an electric motor mounted at the rear axle to push it hard and fast. As a result, the overall output from the entire setup is rated at a colossal 820BHP with a peak torque of 1400Nm.

So basically, it’s a four-door model that means it is practical enough to seat at least four occupants. The overall design on the outside is just like the standard AMG GT 63 but the bumpers have been slightly reprofiled keeping in mind the charging port. The carmaker has also introduced new alloy wheels ranging between 20 to 21-inches for an enhanced overall look.

Inside the cabin, it remains untouched with a similar layout that we have already seen on the other GT models. An MBUX system will continue to play a prominent part with on the go entertainment and several important details.

As mentioned above, all the major changes are under the hood. Therefore, the potent 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine along with a 6.1kW battery and an electric motor propels a massive combined output of 820BHP and 1400Nm. The exciting part about this powertrain is that it is currently one of the most powerful units rolled out of the AMG facility. According to Mercedes, the battery solely returns a range of just 12kms.

Searching for the magical numbers? Well, Mercedes-AMG GT 63 E-Performance can clock a triple-digit speed in just 2.9 seconds. A similar sprint to 200kmph is rated at under 10 seconds with a top speed of 315kmph. Apart from the basic drive modes, this one gets additional ones including – Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus, Race and Slippery. Interestingly, a four-level regenerative braking system makes it even practical for today’s world.

The entire list of the hardware remains exactly the same with adaptive suspensions that ultimately works according to the drive modes.
