Mercedes Benz EQA Global Debut

Mercedes Benz EQA has recently made its global debut and it is now the most affordable EV from Mercedes Benz lineup. As per the sources, the German carmaker was set to introduce around 6 EQ models in total. Meanwhile, as we know that the EQC is already present here and ofcourse even the EQA has arrived, it is time for Mercedes to launch a 7-seater SUV next.

Exterior

Based on the current generation Mercedes Benz GLA, it gets a signature EQ radiator grille at the front. The taillamps and headlamps on the EQA are now a continuous unit spreading from one edge to another. Further, unlike the front, the rear of the EQA seems completely revamped when compared to the GLA SUV. For instance, even the number plate housing on the all-new electric car sits on the bumper itself.

Interior

As we enter inside the cabin, the all-new EQA looks extremely similar to its elder sibling. The blue highlights across the cabin make its occupants realise that they are inside an eco-friendly vehicle. Apart from this, the instrument cluster is also updated to deliver the information required about the EV.

Powerplant

Powering the all-new Mercedes-Benz EQA is a front-mounted asynchronous motor. It can churn out a maximum of 190HP alongside a peak torque of 375Nm. Further, performance-wise, EQA 250 can do a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 8.9 seconds while the top speed remains limited to 160 kmph. The interesting fact about this EV is that it comes with a front-wheel drive powertrain and draws power from a 66.5 kWh battery. Meanwhile, this battery can be fully juiced up with an AC 11kWh charger in about 6 hours. Whereas, there is a DC charger available with a 100 kWh rating that can charge this battery from 0-80% in just 30 minutes.

Mercedes-Benz will deliver a performance-oriented EQA as well in the coming days.

When launched the all-new Mercedes Benz will be a perfect rival to the Tesla Model Y. However, its launch in India still remains unsure as the German carmaker has not made any specific announcement yet. Mercedes Benz has recently announced that it will launch around 15 new models including facelifts in India. We hope EQA makes up to that list as well.
