Hello Mr CEO! Well, that’s how we expect everyone to address the upcoming EQE owners. Franky speaking, the brand has revealed it globally with almost all the features and luxury you will ever need. It takes inspiration from the expensive EQS but several upgrades along with an affordable price tag make the all-new EQE a practical electric sedan in every aspect.

Mercedes-Benz EQE

As mentioned earlier, this new luxury EV is a smaller version of the portfolio-topping EQS. The dimensions of the EQE stands at 4946mm in length, 1961mm in width and 1512m in height. Similarly, the wheelbase is 3120mm that makes it far better when compared to the ICE counterpart.

Inside the cabin, it remains exactly similar to the EQS with a neatly finished dashboard that incorporates the MBUX Hyperscreen if chosen as an optional accessory. Other than this several features including turbine inspired AC vents, Burmester surround sound system and bucket seats are also there for added practicality.

In terms of safety, the upcoming electric car is packed with multiple airbags, automatic emergency brakes, lane keep assist and pre-safe collision waring to name a few.

Powerplant

Powering the all-new Mercedes-Benz EQE is a 90kWh battery (EQE 350 variant) that works in conjunction with an electric motor that produces 288BHP and 530Nm of peak torque. The claimed range from the German carmaker for the EQE is rated somewhere between 545 to 660kms, again making it extremely practical.

Charging

Mercedes-Benz has decided to offer an 11kWh charger to the EQE buyers. According to the carmaker, this charger takes around 8.25 hours to charge the battery to its full. There’s even an option to opt for the 22kWh charger. The 170 kWh DC charger works brilliantly by renewing around 250 kms range in just 15 minutes.

The brand also claims to have established around 5.3 lakh AC and DC public charging stations worldwide.

Alternatives

Audi is one of the prominent rivals to Mercedes when it comes to ICE-powered cars. The aim is to introduce over 30 electric cars by the end of 2025 and therefore, Audi has decided to launch the EQE rival by 2023 in the form of the A6 e-Tron. The claims are quite surprising when it comes to the A6 e-Tron. To start with, it will be getting a battery pack of 100kWh that pushes out a range of around 700kms per full charge.
