Mercedes Benz has rolled out the updated GLC in India and this time the most selling SUV for the portfolio is now available with additional features. Further, with multiple updates, it is now available with two new color schemes on offer, including – High Tech Silver and Brilliant Blue. The German carmaker has priced the GLC 200 at Rs.57.40 Lakh* while the GLC 220d comes with a price tag of Rs.63.15 Lakh*.

What are the updates on the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

Multiple features have been introduced on the all-new GLC. For instance, the German carmaker has now introduced Mercedes Me Connect (MMC) to the GLC. This new feature now supports voice commands via Google Home or Amazon Alexa. Further, the updated SUV is now available with a 12.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster. This instrument cluster can be optimised according to the driver’s preference with three display styles, including – Classic, Progressive and Sporty.

Apart from this, Mercedes Benz has also introduced a massage function for the front seats as standard. Meanwhile, someone who wishes to access it can go through the center console. No mechanical changes are there on the 2021 Mercedes Benz GLC.

Engine

Currently, Mercedes-Benz GLC is available with two powerplants on offer. The first one is a 2.0L four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces 194BHP of power @ 5,500 RPM. Further, the peak torque from this engine stands at 320Nm @ 1,650 RPM. Apart from this, there is another 2.0L four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor that churns out a massive 192BHP @ 3,800 RPM and 400Nm of torque @ 1600 RPM. Both the engines are on offer with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

As the updated Mercedes-Benz GLC has arrived in India, it will continue to rival the Volvo XC60 and BMW X3. Further, even Audi is all set to introduce the 2021 Q5 here which will ultimately raise the level of the rivalry. Mercedes Benz India has recently announced that the German carmaker will be introducing around 15 new cars in India. Well, count the updated GLC as one of them.
