On Friday, Germany based luxury car maker Mercedes Benz launched the brand new E-Class 220 d sedan in India, priced at Rs 57.14 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). The company also come up with a new four-cylinder diesel engine, OM 654, assembled at the Mercedes-Benz Chakan facility.
After the success of the E350 d diesel and the E 200 petrol models, the new E 220 d will further enhance the unprecedented demand of the long wheelbase E-Class, long wheels catch the attention of public and give better look to the car, the company said. The E 220 d will be flaunted with the new four cylinder diesel engine OM 654 and the long wheelbase.
Roland Folger, MD and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, stated that “finally the wait is over. Mercedes-Benz E 220 d is out, we are now extending the E-Class product portfolio even further and making it highly versatile, with the different techniques and by keeps the customers point of view in mind”.
Mercedes-Benz India believes that this new model will perform well in the market and they’ll be benefited from it. Company is confident that the E 220 d will continue to remain the most sought after luxury business saloon and an important pillar of its productive offensive in India.
