MG Motors rolled out MG Gloster with an introductory price tag of Rs.28.98 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the beginning. However, this offer ended soon and the company released the entire revised price list. After the revision, the carmaker priced it at Rs.29.98 Lakhs for the entry-level Super variant. Since then, this is the third time that the MG Gloster has received a price hike. The entry-level continues to carry the same price even this time. But, other variants are now costlier by up to Rs.80,000.

2021 MG Gloster
At the front, it gets a large front grille with chrome finished horizontal slats, sculpted bonnet and LED projector headlamps. The side profile of the Gloster features factory fitted footsteps, chrome door handles, wing mirrors and 19-inch alloy wheels as standard.
Inside the cabin, it is available with either a 6-seater or a 7-seater layout. To be precise, the 7 seater variants get a bench seat for the middle row. Meanwhile, the 6-seater variants come with captain seats as standard. Interestingly, the front seats are electrically adjustable with ventilation and massage function as well. Other features such as a 12 speaker audio system, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, three-zone climate control, cooled glovebox, panoramic sunroof, air purifier and an 8-inch MID display are also available on the SUV.
The engine that powers MG Gloster is a 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel unit. Talking in numbers, it is truly capable of producing 212BHP and a peak torque of 480Nm while being mated to an 8-speed torque converter gearbox. Interestingly, the entry-level variants are also available with a 2.0-litre turbo diesel motor that churns out 160BHP and 375Nm of torque.
Performance-wise, the twin-turbocharged diesel motor allows the Gloster to do a 0-100kmph sprint in just 12.7 seconds. Well, that is fast enough for an SUV weighing 2500kgs.

Toyota introduced the 2021 Fortuner in India at the beginning of this year. The Japanese carmaker has priced it at Rs.29.98 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). In terms of features, Fortuner comes equipped with LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, 8-way electrically adjustable seats, JBL surround sound system, a multi-information display and a powered tailgate among others. Interestingly, Toyota has also introduced a sportier variant this time called Legender that comes with a different front fascia.
