MG Hector is any day a practical choice. Wondering why? For starters, it is a 4655mm long SUV and without a doubt, it is enough to increase the boot carrying capacity. Still not convinced? Well for that, take a test drive of the all-new MG Hector while sitting in the back seat and there you will be able to find an ample amount of legroom that again makes it one of the most comfortable compact SUVs in India right now.

Under the hood, MG Hector uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that churns out a decent 141BHP and 250Nm of peak torque. Talking about the diesel motor, it is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo unit with power figures rated at 167BHP and 350Nm.

Transmission duties for both of them are managed by a 6-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, for added convenience, customers can opt for a 6-speed DCT or an 8-speed CVT gearbox, exclusively available with the petrol engine. Interestingly, it also comes with a mild-hybrid technology onboard.

Just like any other modern SUV, the 2021 MG Hector packs almost all the crucial features. To begin with, it gets ventilated seats (front), a wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, a large 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control and ambient lighting to name a few. According to the brand, the infotainment system now gets smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with Hinglish voice commands added for the first time.

MG Hector’s safety kit consists of parking sensors, ABS, a 360-degree camera and six airbags depending upon the variants.
