MG Motors India has launched the all-new limited edition, MG Hector. The limited-edition is launched to celebrate one year of MG Hector in India. The compact SUV was first launched on 27th June 2019 which comes with 4 variants on offer. Thus, the limited-edition SUV is known as the MG Hector Anniversary edition.

However, the all-new MG Hector Anniversary edition is based upon the mid-spec ‘Super’ trim. Hence, the additional features on offer with the MG Hector Anniversary edition are the wireless charging pad, air purifier as well as the Medklinn Kit. The Mediklinn Kit sterilizes the interior of the car by killing all the bacteria and viruses using active oxygen technology. However, the features on offer make the MG Hector more reliable when compared to its rivals as they offer similar features on the top-spec variant only.

Features such as the LED headlights, tail lamps, rear fog lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, etc. comes as standard. Meanwhile, the interior of the MG Hector Anniversary edition comes with a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted controls and cruise control. The safety features on offer with the limited edition SUV are dual airbags, ABS, ESP, 360-degree parking sensors and a rearview camera.

MG India is also offering the MG Shield with the Anniversary Edition Hector. The MG Shield offers around 60 percent buyback after three years of purchase on the original price. Meanwhile, the zero down payment offer also makes the MG Hector Anniversary edition more affordable. The company is also providing a special invitation EMI of ₹22,222.

The engines that power the MG Hector Anniversary edition are the same 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and the 2.0-litre diesel engine. However, both the engine comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The limited-edition Hector will not get a DCT auto gearbox as well as the mild hybrid powertrain.

MG Hector Anniversary Edition comes with a price tag of ₹13.64 lakh for the petrol variant while the diesel variant costs ₹15 lakh. MG Hector at this price point rivals the Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks.
