MG Motors India has recently teased the MG Gloster on its official website. MG Gloster is a rebadged Maxus D90 which is on sale in the Chinese market for a long time. It will play the role of a full-sized SUV along with luxury in India. In addition to this, MG has recently revealed the unofficial features list of the MG Gloster.

The MG Gloster was first showcased in the Auto Expo 2020. However, the capable SUV has been spied many times on the roads without any camouflage on it. Gloster is a capable offroader as it will arrive in the market with an ample amount of ground clearance and the 4X4 drivetrain.

With the capability similar to its rivals like the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, and Mahindra Alturas G4, MG Gloster is all set to offer ruggedness with luxury. In the name of luxury MG will roll out the Gloster with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).

The ADAS is a system that is usually found as a standard in luxury cars. However, this tool will be the first-in-segment for any full-sized SUV in India. ADAS assists the driver by offering handsfree auto parking, frontal collision warning, and emergency braking.

Besides the luxury, MG Gloster will make headway in the market with 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, chrome door handles, all-LED taillights, and the Gloster badging on the tailgate. Meanwhile, the interior will come with a large panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 3-zone auto climate control, and many more features.

The MG Gloster will provide all the features to its customers that are similar to all the other ladder on frame SUVs. However, the luxury on offer will differentiate it from the other carmakers.

MG Gloster packs the power with its 2.0L turbo petrol as well as a diesel engine. The 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 224BHP of power. Meanwhile, the 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine produces a massive218BHP of power and 480Nm of torque.

MG will launch the Gloster in India by this festive season. However, it will come with a price tag of ₹40-45 lakh. MG Gloster will also offer three terrain modes – the sand, snow, and rock.
