Hyundai is not the only carmaker that was forced to postpone the launch of its upcoming 7-seater SUV. Earlier, even Skoda did the same for its 2021 Octavia due to the second wave of the ongoing pandemic.

Finally, the country has witnessed a gradual dip in COVID-19 cases. And keeping in mind all these factors, Hyundai has announced that the company will launch the 7-seater Alcazar by June 2021. Earlier, this exact launch was slated for May 2021 but considering the current situation, the launch will now take place next month.

Still not familiar with the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar? No worries. We have covered the entire details for you.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Hyundai Motors has pushed the launch of the upcoming Alcazar to June 2021.
  • It is expected to come with 2.0-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
  • The exact features list of the all-new Hyundai Alcazar to be out soon.

Hyundai Alcazar

The design language of the upcoming Alcazar is inspired by its younger sibling. To recall, the front end is very similar to the Hyundai Creta with a tweaked grille alongside a redesigned front bumper. With a wheelbase of 2760mm, the all-new SUV will also be the best in its segment. Also, the wheelbase is 150mm longer when compared to the Creta.

The side profile of the Alcazar features large wheel arches, footsteps and 18-inch alloy wheels among others.

The Korean brand has not revealed the interior of the Hyundai Alcazar yet. However, the sources suggest that it will be available with a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging pad, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera, multifunctional steering wheel and a 12.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system among others. Also, the carmaker is expected to offer it with both – a 6 or a 7-seater layout.

Under the hood, it will be available with a 2.0L four-cylinder petrol engine that churns out a massive 159HP and 192Nm of peak torque. Apart from this, there is a 1.5L four-cylinder diesel motor that produces 115HP and 250Nm of peak torque. To be precise, both the engines are expected to come with a 6-speed manual gearbox. However, customers will also get the freedom to opt for a 6-speed AT gearbox as optional.
