After a long wait, MV Agusta has finally revealed the 2021 Brutale and Dragster globally. However, this time both the bikes are out with multiple updates including an improved chassis and smartphone connectivity. Also, the most important improvement is the Euro-5 compliant 798cc engine that is available in its most refined form ever.

Updates

Straight away coming to the features, it is now available with an all-new 5.5-inch TFT instrument console that can be connected to a smartphone. Further, the MV Ride App allows the rider to operate a turn-by-turn navigation system via the console. Also, there are multiple electronic aids on the MV Brutale and MV Dragster that are recently introduced on both motorbikes. It comes with six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, traction control and launch control among other similar features.

Several color schemes have been introduced on the 2021 Brutale including:

  • Shock Pearl Red with Avio Grey, and
  • Carbon Black Metallic with Avio Grey Metallic.

Also, the updated Dragster will be available with these many new colors schemes:

  • Matt Magnum Avio Grey with Matt Metallic Dark Grey, and
  • Matt Magnum Silver with Matt Metallic Dark Grey.

The engine that will be powering the latest-generation MV Agusta Brutale, as well as the Dragster, will be a Euro-5 compliant 798cc three-cylinder engine. This motor is capable of producing 140HP @ 12,300 RPM alongside a peak torque of 87Nm @ 10,250 RPM. Further, the shifts on both the updated bikes are now more accurate and are available with a quickshifter. Also, in terms of performance, it can hit a top speed of somewhere around 244kmph.

Apart from all this, the all-new MV Agusta Brutale and Dragster now get a reworked chassis and suspension setup. Meanwhile, these updates together have resulted in stiffer ride quality when compared to the outgoing variant. Even the rear tyre on both the bikes now stands wider than ever.

Pricing

In terms of price, the 2021 MV Agusta Brutale costs around 17,000 Euros. Meanwhile, the company has priced the all-new MV Agusta Dragster at 20,000 Euros. The Italian bike manufacturer has yet not announced its date of launch in India yet. However, the updated series will be available for the market here soon.

Alternatives

After its launch in India, both the MV Agusta Brutale and Dragster will be competing against the likes of Kawasaki Z900, BMW F 900 R and Triumph Street Triple RS. However, before jumping to any conclusion here are what its rivals has to offer.

  • Kawasaki Z900 – Kawasaki launched the updated Z900 superbike in India last year. Further, the all-new motorcycle features a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. Also, there is the all-LED lighting setup on the updated Kawasaki Z900.
  • Triumph Street Triple RSTriumph Street Triple RS costs somewhere around Rs.11.3 Lakh in India. However, it comes with a smaller 765cc BS6 compliant engine that produces 121.3BHP. Also, the naked motorcycles pack multiple features on offer.
  • BMW F 900 R – The BMW F 900 R is a powerful naked superbike that comes with an 895cc twin-cylinder engine. It packs multiple features such as a 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, LED headlights and two drive modes among others.
